As Jack grew and his interest in books grew, I wanted to make his library a cozy, convenient place for him. I decided to place all his board books on the lowest bookshelf in our living room and he picked out his very own reading chair. Family reading time is one way to build a healthy habit of independent reading. Then he was a sprout reader, Jack would sit in his reading chair and read book after book! Putting the books back on the bookshelf was the next skill we worked on.
